The Rockets' horrible shooting started just a few minutes into the game, but they papered over it with a ton of offensive rebounds.
In the final 19 minutes of the first half, the Rockets were 3 of 19 on threes, but they outscored the Warriors by 5 points thanks to pulling in 10 offensive rebounds (the Dubs had just 10 defensive rebounds during this stretch).

It also took the air out of the building. The crowd completely died during that stretch. I never felt any doubt after that point that the Warriors would pull away.

Totally agree. It took away the 3pt options for HOU and he was going to make 1 FT at best. The Warriors would give the HOU 1pt per possession at that point for sure. Capela was playing pretty well also, just an awesome call by Kerr. It feels like he kept that in his pocket until he thought he actually needed it.

Eric Gordon is a baller. He's dealt with a lot of injuries in his career but he's been something of an x-factor for us these past two seasons. He can be too loose with the ball at times but he knows how to put it in the basket.

Not to us. Dude has been a problem whenever we play them. Always knew he could shoot but I had no idea the dude could dribble and drive like that until this year. He was a warrior killer.

7 man rotation gets you tired and Game 7 showed. Really you can't play that intense defense for 7 games and then expect to be able to knock down all your 3s.
Harden without CP3 is a lot like the Cavs right now. Obviously Lebron is much better than Harden but it goes to show you one star is definitely not enough

In addition to tiring out Harden more, missing CP3 also forced us to go deeper into our rotation and give Ryan Anderson some minutes. He unsurprisingly couldn't stay in front of anyone on defense.

Yeah anyone blaming the shooting slump on bad luck or a choke job wasn’t paying attention to how focused they were on defense. Ariza was the most obvious.

I get the fouls thing, but there are so many times that Harden actually makes the play about drawing a foul instead of scoring.
Can't rely on the refs to get your points in game 7.
Steph dances at the three point line so he can get free to actually make a three. Harden dances at the three line often to get his defender in a bad spot and draw a foul.

Outside of the lack of fouls and the missed shots there is one thing I can give Kerr credit for. He is firmly aware to how the refs are calling the game.
Yesterday the way the refs were calling the physicality was really inconsistent which is why it makes sense that Rocket fans are upset at that stretch in the third quarter. If you're game plan doesn't adjust to the way the game is being called then you will have situations where you are trying to force your offense to no avail.
I think Kerr and his staff are keenly aware to when refs are allowing players to be more physical and adjust their offense accordingly.
That is why he runs his off ball sets even more when the game gets super physical because he knows ISO situations will be an advantage to the defensive player if the ref is calling it loose.

It's unreal to watch James Harden simply hunting for fouls. First he works forever to get the switch he wants, and then you can just see him waiting for a player to reach in so he can grab their arm. Or he's waiting for the defender to bite on a fake so he can jump into him.
It's fucking insane how much energy he spends hunting for fouls. It's gross to watch. He's a great player, but that style of play does not deserve to be in the Finals.

Harden is a great player, and would be my undisputed favorite player in the league due to the fact that he's the best player on my second favorite team, if only he didn't constantly hunt for fouls.
Like clockwork, every time his team is facing adversity (blowing a lead, trailing late in the game), he resorts to it rather than just trying to score. As a premier foul drawer, he of all people should know that referees hold their whistles, especially as the game progresses.
Now, I know the refs being stingy helped the Warriors defense, especially when the Rockets attacked the basket, but still... Harden's gotta play like the MVP he is and try his damnedest to score.

I get why houston fans are upset about the reffing, but i've seen no mention about the capela over the back fouls on practically every rebound.

How about this for a stat:
Steph Curry attempted 45 shots in game 6 & 7 and did not shoot one FT in either game...it wasn't for a lack of driving either.
How about another:
Scott Foster (the man who r/NBA claims to have rigged this game) in Game 7 called 11 fouls on the Warriors and only 5 on the Rockets.
In Game 7, Klay picked up 3 fouls (2 were iffy) in the first 4 minutes of the game.
Who exactly does this sub think the game was rigged for...?
This post helps a lot and even misses a lot of calls that I think could be thrown in there in GS' favor.
