Nah I for one am past it. It’s unbelievable. The Boogie Cousins trade fucked us for a long time. We’ll probably end up trading AD if he doesn’t sign his extension, then we’ll lose our franchise. AD gave us a lot but we just couldn’t do it.

It is a narrative being pushed, but I think if we're being honest, this is exactly what several people envisioned happening when he re-signed a few years ago. NOLA hadn't done much to put a team around AD, which is just baffling because AD is just rare. 60 guys get drafted every year. The odds that you find another player like him in the draft, you could literally wait a lifetime for it, or it may never happen at all. So to see him just kind of flounder in NOLA, I don't understand it. There's no sense of urgency in NOLA, from what I can tell anyway.
They went out and got Julius Randle, who I think is a phenomenal player, but if I'm being honest, Randle still has a bit of developing to do, as he should at what.. 23? 24? He was a great player to pair with AD, but AD + Randle + Jrue.. that's not a contender, and the clock is ticking for AD's eventual free agency. NOLA hasn't given AD any reason to want to come out and say "I'm here to stay. We're close to figuring this thing out."
This story exists because there's just cause for it. The NBA.. man, it may seem like guys playing 15-16+ years is a long time, and it is, but the window of being a prime athlete with the skill to lead a team to a championship, it doesn't last forever. Guys want to win now. Injuries happen, free agency happens, trades happen, the trials of and tribulations of life, no one is immune to any of it. The good times simply will not and do not last forever. NOLA needs to prove to AD that they're serious about winning NOW. There's what.. 7 weeks until the All-Star break? They better make the most of it.

他们确实出击并且得到了兰德尔，他也是一个现象级别的球员，但是老实说，兰德尔还需要时间成长，现在他不过23岁左右，他确实和AD搭配打得不错，但是戴维斯+兰德尔+霍乐迪，这可不是总冠军竞争者拿出的阵容，但是AD即将成为自由球员的钟声即将敲响了，鹈鹕的行动却并没有给戴维斯说出“我在这里想说，我们即将要弄清所有事情拿到总冠军”的底气。
所以我想说，为啥一直有人劝AD离开是有理由的，这可是NBA兄弟，尽管有人能在这个联盟里打个15-16年，但是运动员的巅峰期，或者说夺冠窗口是不会永远为你开放的，鹈鹕必须要赢在当下。伤病会发生、自由球员转会会发生、交易也会发生，任何事情都有可能会对你的未来造成影响，没人能保证未来究竟会发生什么，好时光不会永远持续下去，鹈鹕需要像安东尼-戴维斯证明他们对于赢在当下这件事情是非常严肃的，距离全明星只有七周了吗？他们最好最大化得利用这段时间。

Didn't KG say that he regretted not leaving Minnesota sooner even though he loves it there and wanted to win there? I could easily see why he'd be pushing for AD to not make the same mistake.

KG is a top ten to fifteen all time player who does not get the respect that his legacy deserves because he wasted away in his prime in Minnesota.
I really believe KG had a better prime than Kobe and was right up there with Duncan, but championships speak louder than talent.
