He wasn’t. He’s saying the situations are different which they are. Boston didn’t make the wrong call by doing it but it does serve as a reminder to players that this is a business and to look out for your best interests first. Love IT’s heart but wish he would’ve made the smarter decision for himself long term

The problem for Boston is that defending Ainge's decision validates all of Davis's fears about how Boston treats its player, regardless of the reality that trading Thomas was the right move.
Davis isn't just concerned with the overall health of the franchise, he's specifically concerned about how the franchise treats its players.
So the "it was the right thing to do and I'd do it again" defense doesn't assuage Davis's fears, it just inflames them.

LMAO. Isaiah was traded for KYRIE IRVING everybody. He wasn't traded for a scrub. Isaiah also was traded while injured to a team with the best player in the world on it. That was the same team that went to the finals that year. BUT, Isaiah wasn't on that team because he was complete trash when he came back and couldn't stop talking shit.
I know this is all narrative by the powers that be to get AD to the Lakers by painting the Celtics as the bad guys, but this idea that the Celtics had to be loyal to Isaiah is just laughable. No other company in the world is loyal to it's employees but for some reason basketball teams have to be.
