The guy's completely unrivaled in his efficiency on the 12-dribble stepback 3 against a defense that knows you want that.
It is a lot more fun to watch the Bucks though, Giannis uses possessions quicker and with more reliable plays, he isn't really missing the rebounds or assists, and he's a bonus center on defense.
It's kinda hard to believe that Harden's game isn't fun to watch because people were willing to watch Kobe take 40 shots all throughout the 2000's, but I do believe it. Maybe it's the historically many free throws taking up time, maybe it's the beard. IMO even more importantly, it's difficult to watch a 10 man roster where 60% of the team salary is injured.

I actually think Giannis is going to win it over harden.
Harden has been an insane usage guy, but Giannis is putting up unreal stats and team success has to matter at some point.

I think Harden can still win it but the rockets have to go on a run and get to at least the 3rd seed in the West. Harden is not winning the MVP if the Rockets are the 5th seed.
But yeah I agree, Giannis is the favorite at this very moment. If the season ended today, he’d win

This is literally the dumbest take I’ve ever heard. He’s scoring 37 points a game on 62% efficiency. League average is like 55%. Houston, despite losing CP3, EG, Clint and other guys for long periods, are the number 3 offense in the league. Powered by one dude who may end up with the most ppg since Wilt, and with 9 assists a game at the same time.
That is what James Harden is doing. How the fuck you gonna criticise him for pounding it 20 times if it works to this kind of success? Why would you point to his 5/20 nights and ignore the bigger picture efficiency numbers?

Well, I know I'll get downvoted for even attempting to answer your questions but a lot of people simply don't worship TS the way r/nba and some in the media do. It's not commonly brought up on sports shows, and many old school players are just anti-advanced stats in general. I'll be downvoted for this, I'm sure, but I kind of think Harden has broken TS b/c of his free-throw shooting and high volume three point shooting.
I personally believe elite efficiency is really simple: great overall FG%, terrific free throw shooting, and, if a player takes threes at a high volume, 40% or better. Harden doesn't shoot great overall, is a terrific free throw shooter, and is a good three point shooter on the volume he takes. I think he has good efficiency, but not ELITE efficiency. I think Steph has elite efficiency. He checks every one of my boxes. Harden does not and I don't think he does for others who aren't all about TS.
I know I'll be downvoted now but it's just my opinion and I think it's just as valid as anyone else's.

我知道我现在是反对你的观点的，但这只是我的观点，我觉得这个观点和其他人一样是有效的。
