There was just a lack of effort and complacency that worked when we played not so great teams, but came back to bite us against a legit playoff team. Not to discredit the streak cause it's hard to win 10 games straight regardless of who you play, but bad habits build up. Credit to the Mavs for killing us today, they played a great game.

We may not have an elite third option, but at least Wright and Hardaway (especially with how they've played lately) are starter caliber in the NBA. I’d like to agree but I think it’s more that the Lakers don’t have as good wing defenders; they’re elite in terms of interior defense.
Also, I don’t know how true it is, but I read from a Laker fan that Vogel’s defensive scheme relies on funneling the opposing offense to the inside.
Meaning their wing defenders can play a bit more aggressive on the wing, forcing the other team to drive to the key where Ad, Bron, and Other center is waiting.
This strategy doesn’t work if you have elite wing players or a good shooting team

It's probably been said too much in this sub, but Luka really reminds me of Larry Bird. He isn't the fastest, the highest jumper, or the most athletic in the court, he doesn't have the fastest or most beautiful shot release, but he has soooo much skill and IQ that he is able to still have his way

People talk about Luka dominating the offense like Russ and Harden, but I feel like even though Luka has a high usage, the ball moves much more with him compared to those two.
This is not a slight at Russ or Harden, but I personally prefer the Mavs and Luka's brand of basketball over keeping the ball until you can find the open man or score in isolation.

The ball movement has finally come in the last few games. I wanna say since THJ moved to the starting lineup. Almost feels like he doesn’t dare go full Knick when he shares the floor with Luka and Kristaps. Before that the offense often looked stagnant but Carlisle has been know to take a good few weeks into the season to figure out how his pieces fit.
